How Do You Compare?!

Hey Students!

Take a look at Canada's Physical Activity Guidelines and at the Canadian's Sedentary Behaviour Guide. How do you compare to these guidelines? Are you following them closely or not at all?

Come to class with an idea of where you stand. We will be working on goal setting in our next class.

SMART Goals
Specific - create a specific goal
Measurable - can you measure your results?
Attainable - does your goal make sense?
Realistic - can you achieve your goal?
Timely - how long will it take you? how often will you measure?

You will eventually be creating your own blog to track your journey and progress into developing a healthy, active lifestyle. This will become your final project at the end of the year. We will discuss details in class tomorrow.

Dear Parents,

I encourage you to do the same! You can join in on the journey with your child. Living an active lifestyle is beneficial for the whole family, and easily done when more are involved (increases motivation).
